About University Student Launch Initiative

The University Student Launch Initiative is a NASA-run competition that helps to train students in various aspects of the engineering process through hands-on application. The object of the competition is to design, build, and launch a reusable rocket that will make various atmospheric measurements. Collaboration with professors, NASA engineers, and peers is used throughout this process to educate participating students and increase their appreciation for engineering.

The annual launch event will be hosted in April 2011 by Bragg Farms in Toney, Alabama.
